Écritures Normandes
Écritures Normandes is a series of illustrations showcasing the typographic heritage found across Normandy, France. I walked the region and photographed vernacular lettering where it lives, on shopfronts, signs and façades, then redrew each piece by hand, digitally, from those photographs taken on site. The work is presented as a set of interactive postcards, with the photograph on one side and the hand-drawn illustration on the other, source and redrawing in direct dialogue.

The project documents this vernacular typography while giving it new life through the postcards. A sensitive reading of local graphic heritage, between memory and contemporary creation.
